Digital Dash Cameras Will Transform the Domestic Transportation Industry Ecosystem

Item 16-1 of Vehicle Safety Inspection Standards
As of January 1, 2023, all newly registered buses and large trucks must be equipped with digital dash cameras. In simple terms, the government has mandated that all new vehicles registered after January 1, 2023, must include digital dash cameras (digital split-screen).

Amendment to Article 18-1 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act
Large vehicles failing to install dash cameras and driving vision assistance systems as required will result in fines of NT$12,000 to NT$24,000 for the vehicle owner.
